Ep 18. Attic-a / Free Gunther
- January 14, 2012
In season 2 episode 18 of Kick Buttowski, titled Attic-a / Free Gunther, viewers are in for a wild ride. The episode begins with Kick being tasked with cleaning out the attic by his parents. As he sifts through boxes and old memorabilia, he comes across a pair of inline skates that he used to wear as a child. Kick reminisces about the good old days and decides he wants to relive them by going on a rollerblading adventure.
Meanwhile, Gunther tagging along with Kick, discovers a long-forgotten board game called Mystical Quest. The game has been in the attic for years and is said to be cursed. Gunther becomes obsessed with the game and begs Kick to play it with him. Kick reluctantly agrees, but soon regrets his decision. As the game progresses, strange things start to happen in the attic. The boys are transported to a mystical realm where they encounter magic, dragons, and other mythical creatures.
Back in the real world, Kick's younger sister, Brianna, interrupts their game. She desperately wants to play with them, but Kick and Gunther dismiss her, much to her dismay. In their game, they encounter a villain who traps Brianna in the mystical realm. Kick realizes that the only way to free his sister is to defeat the villain in the game. Together, he and Gunther work to save Brianna and win the game.
The second half of the episode, Free Gunther, takes a different approach. Kick is excited to receive front row tickets to his favorite daredevil show, starring none other than his idol, Billy Stumps. Gunther, on the other hand, has no interest in going with Kick. He's upset that Kick dismissed him earlier and feels like his opinions don't matter. Instead, Gunther spends the day at the local arcade, where he gets sucked into a virtual reality game.
While Gunther is having the time of his life in the game, Kick is having a horrible time at the show. Billy Stumps is no longer the daredevil he once was and is now performing lame stunts. Kick is disappointed and wishes he had gone to the arcade with Gunther instead. Suddenly, a group of thugs takes over the arcade and locks everyone inside.
Gunther, who is still inside the virtual reality game, discovers that the game's creator is behind the takeover and is using the arcade patrons to test a new video game. The stakes are high, and the only way to escape is to win the game. Gunther teams up with the other gamers to save themselves and the arcade.
As the two storylines converge, Kick and Gunther realize they've learned important lessons about friendship and trust. Despite their differences, they are stronger together and need each other's support. The episode ends on a high note, as Kick and Gunther triumph over their challenges and emerge as true friends.
Overall, Attic-a / Free Gunther is an exciting and action-packed episode of Kick Buttowski. With two distinct storylines and plenty of adventure, it's sure to keep viewers engaged. It also delivers a powerful message about the importance of friendship and valuing the opinions of others. Fans of the show won't want to miss this episode!
