In the first part of the episode, "If Books Could Kill," Kick is stuck in detention with some of his fellow classmates who are less than thrilled to be spending their afternoon locked up. However, things take a turn for the exciting when they discover an old book in the classroom that seems to hold the secret to unlocking immense power. As they attempt to decipher the book's cryptic text, they unlock challenges and obstacles that they must overcome in order to reach the ultimate prize - a powerful amulet that could give them all the strength they need to take down their enemies.
Meanwhile, Kick's arch-nemesis, Brad, is also in detention, but he's less interested in deciphering ancient texts and more focused on bullying Kick and his friends. As the tension between the two boys heats up, it becomes clear that things are going to come to a head, and only one of them will come out on top.
In the second part of the episode, "There Will Be Nachos," Kick is determined to win a contest at the local fast food restaurant that promises free nachos for life to the winner. But when he discovers that the contest will test his ability to eat spicy foods, he realizes that he's in over his head. Determined to come out on top, he trains relentlessly in preparation for the contest, enlisting the help of his brother, who has a secret talent for eating extremely spicy foods.
As the contest gets underway, Kick faces challenges from some of the other contestants, who are determined to take him down. But with the help of his brother and his own fierce determination, Kick manages to triumph over his competitors, winning the coveted prize of free nachos for life.
Throughout the episode, we see Kick's bravery and determination in action, as he takes on challenges that would make most people run and hide.
