Jamillah & Aladdin is an adventure-fantasy show that follows the life of a young girl named Jamillah who discovers a magical lamp and bumps into an Arabian genie named Genie. Together with her new friend Genie and a young boy named Aladdin, they embark on various adventures and help the people of Bagdad. In season 1 episode 21 titled 'The Fly-Away Nightingale,' Jamillah and Aladdin try to help a nightingale that flies away every night, leaving its owner unable to sleep.

The show starts off with Jamillah, Aladdin and Genie walking down the bustling streets of Bagdad when they hear terrible singing coming from one of the houses. Upon closer inspection, they find that the singing is coming from a nightingale. They meet the owner of the bird, a poor old lady who has been unable to sleep for weeks. She tells them that her nightingale flies away every night, leaving her alone and unable to sleep. She is afraid that it will fly away forever and she will be left alone without her pet.

Aladdin, Jamillah and Genie decide to help the lady and devise a plan to keep the nightingale in place. They put a tiny bell around the bird's neck and attach it to a length of string. They tie the string to a pole so that the bird can fly only a few feet at most. The old lady is overjoyed and thanks them for their help.

As night falls, the bird becomes restless and starts to fly. However, due to the bell around its neck, it cannot fly far and is forced to stay close to the old lady's house. While the old lady is sleeping soundly with the bird in its cage, Jamillah and Aladdin notice that the bird seems to be trying to communicate with them. They follow the bird as it flies to the palace and into the chamber of the Sultan and his daughter, Princess Badr.

Upon seeing the bird, the Princess becomes enamored with its beautiful singing and asks her father to buy it for her. However, the bird becomes frightened and refuses to sing in front of the Sultan. Aladdin, sensing that something is wrong, decides to investigate. He follows the bird and sees that it has flown into the palace of the evil sorcerer, Omar.

Aladdin sneaks into Omar's chamber and sees that the bird is trapped in a cage. Omar tells Aladdin that he has been keeping the bird captive because the bird is magical and can grant wishes. He plans to use the bird's power to become the most powerful sorcerer in all of Bagdad. Aladdin tries to free the bird but is caught by Omar's guards.

Meanwhile, Jamillah and Genie catch up with Aladdin and Omar. Using her quick thinking, Jamillah comes up with a plan to save Aladdin and the bird. She tells Omar that she can conjure a more magical bird if he releases the nightingale. Omar, thinking that he will have two magical birds, agrees to the offer.

Jamillah then tells Aladdin and Genie to distract Omar while she performs a spell to free the nightingale. Using the spell, she frees the nightingale and orders it to fly back to the old lady's house. The sorcerer realizes too late what has happened and tries to catch the nightingale but is too slow.

The old lady wakes up to find her bird back in its cage and singing happily. She thanks Jamillah and Aladdin for their help. Princess Badr, disappointed that she didn't get the bird, is consoled by Aladdin and Genie who tell her that there are other birds in the world.

In the end, the nightingale continues to sing in its cage, and everyone is happy. Jamillah, Aladdin and Genie continue on their next adventure, never knowing what exciting event lies ahead.
