Ep 2. Assault and Pepper

Huff is an American television series that follows the life of Dr. Craig "Huff" Huffstodt, a psychiatrist based in Los Angeles. In season 1 episode 2, titled "Assault and Pepper," Huff is still struggling to come to terms with the suicide of a patient named Jason, whom he had been treating for depression. He is also dealing with the fallout of his affair with his best friend's wife, Beth, which has caused tension between him and his friend, Russel.

The episode opens with Huff and his wife, Beth, having breakfast at their home. Beth is distant and uncommunicative, and Huff is clearly uncomfortable with the situation. He tries to make small talk but ends up making things worse. Later on, Huff is visited by his lawyer, who tells him that he is being sued by the family of Jason, who believe that Huff is responsible for his suicide. Huff is devastated by the news and immediately seeks out his therapist for help.

Meanwhile, Huff's brother, Teddy, who has just been released from prison, is struggling to adjust to life on the outside. He spends most of his time sleeping and watching TV and is clearly depressed. Huff tries to intervene and get him some help, but Teddy is resistant to the idea.

Later on, Huff is visited by a new patient, a young woman named Dauri. She has been physically abused by her boyfriend and is seeking help to deal with the trauma. Huff tries to help her and gives her advice on how to protect herself in the future. He also considers reporting the abuse to the authorities but is hesitant, knowing that it could put Dauri in danger.

The episode culminates in a dinner party at Russel's house, to which Huff is invited despite the tension between them. At the party, tensions run high as Russel confronts Huff about the affair with Beth. Huff denies any wrongdoing, but the argument quickly devolves into a physical altercation, with Russel assaulting Huff. The other guests try to intervene, but the fight spills out into the street. Eventually, the police arrive and arrest Russel.

As the episode ends, Huff is left reeling from the events of the evening. He is filled with guilt, knowing that his actions have caused pain for both his family and his friend. However, he also realizes that he needs to take responsibility for his actions and try to make amends.
