Ep 35. The Descending Sword

Shinn Asuka, the pilot of the ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam, is still trying to come to terms with the death of his family during the Bloody Valentine Tragedy. As he battles against the Earth Alliance's mobile suits, he tries to keep his anger and bitterness in check.

Meanwhile, Kira Yamato is on board the Archangel, along with the rest of the crew, as they approach Orb. Kira is still coming to terms with the revelation that he is a Coordinator, and that he has abilities that normal humans do not possess. He is also plagued by the memory of the destruction of Junius Seven, and the guilt he feels for his involvement in that tragedy.

As they near Orb, they receive a message from Cagalli Yula Athha, the head of state and princess of Orb. She tells them that she will be meeting with ZAFT's leader, Durandal, and that the Archangel is not welcome in Orb's airspace. However, Kira insists on meeting with Cagalli, and the two old friends are reunited.

Meanwhile, Athrun Zala, who is also on board the Archangel, is conflicted about his loyalties. He was originally a member of ZAFT, but has since defected to the Earth Alliance. However, he has recently discovered that his biological father, Patrick Zala, was the mastermind behind the Bloody Valentine Tragedy. Athrun is torn between his loyalty to the Earth Alliance and his desire to see justice served for the victims of the tragedy.

As the Archangel and Orb's military forces prepare for the arrival of Durandal, they receive a distress signal from the nearby Mendel colony. It seems that the colony is under attack by a rogue ZAFT force, led by the powerful mobile suit pilot, Rau Le Creuset.

Kira and Athrun both launch in their respective Gundams, and join forces with Shinn Asuka and his Impulse Gundam. Together, they make their way to the Mendel colony and engage in battle with Rau and his mobile suit forces.

The battle is intense, with explosive clashes between the mobile suits and the use of powerful weapons and abilities. As the fight rages on, Kira begins to tap into his abilities as a Coordinator, unleashing devastating attacks on Rau and his forces.

As the battle reaches its climax, a mysterious figure appears, wielding a powerful sword. The figure, known only as the Descending Sword, brings the fight to a whole new level, as he cuts through mobile suits like they are paper.

The Descending Sword proves to be a formidable opponent, and it quickly becomes apparent that he is a force to be reckoned with. As the battle rages on, the members of the Archangel and ZAFT begin to wonder who this mysterious figure could be, and what his motives are.
