As the war between ZAFT and the Earth Alliance continues to escalate, the crew of the Archangel finds themselves in need of repairs and resupply. They make their way to Orb, a neutral nation that has managed to stay out of the conflict, in hopes of finding safe harbor.
Upon arrival, Kira and the others are welcomed with open arms by the leaders of Orb, who are more than happy to assist them in any way they can. However, not all is well in this seemingly idyllic land of peace.
As the Archangel crew begins repairing their damaged ship, they learn of a plot by a group of Orb's citizens to steal advanced mobile suits known as Gundams. Kira, who pilots the Gundam known as Strike, is sent to prevent the theft, but his efforts are complicated by the arrival of Athrun and the ZAFT forces.
As tensions rise and battle ensues, Kira and Athrun find themselves once again facing off in a battle between two of the most advanced mobile suits in existence. However, unlike their previous battles, both Kira and Athrun begin to question the morality and purpose of their actions.
Meanwhile, the rest of the Archangel crew learns of a dark secret hidden beneath the pristine surface of Orb. As they uncover the truth about the nation's history and its current political climate, they must make a decision about whether to intervene and risk further escalation of the war or to maintain their neutrality and leave Orb to its own devices.
The Land of Peace is a thought-provoking episode that explores the complexities of war and the role of neutrality in times of conflict. It also delves deeper into the characters of Kira and Athrun, and their evolving perspectives on the war and their own positions in it. With stunning battles and surprising twists, this episode is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
