He gives her the Seiryuu mark and tells her that she is now his property. Meanwhile, Miaka wakes up in a forest and meets Tamahome, a boy who helps her escape from some bandits. Miaka is happy to see Tamahome again, but he is skeptical of her because he thinks she is a spy for Seiryuu. Miaka tries to convince him that she is the priestess of Suzaku and that she needs his help to find her other celestial warriors. Tamahome reluctantly agrees and they set out to find the other warriors.
Back at the palace, Hotohori and Nuriko are worried about Miaka and Yui's disappearance. They suspect that something is wrong and go to the library to investigate. They find a clue that leads them to the world of the Four Gods and they decide to follow Miaka and Yui.
Meanwhile, Yui is taken to the Seiryuu palace and meets the other Seiryuu warriors. They tell her that they have been waiting for her and that she is the key to their victory over Suzaku. Yui is still confused and scared, but she starts to believe Nakago's words when Seiryuu appears to her in a vision and grants her wish to see Miaka again.
Miaka and Tamahome finally find the first celestial warrior, Chichiri, who is a monk.
