Following in the footsteps of her great-great-grandfather, Makoto has been exploring the skies on her broomstick. In her latest flight, she witnesses an incredible sight: a huge whale swimming through the clouds! Unable to contain her excitement, Makoto rushes home to tell her family and friends about the amazing creature she saw.
Everyone is impressed by her story, but they're not sure what to make of it. It's not every day that you hear about a whale flying through the sky! Nevertheless, they all agree to help Makoto search for the whale and try to learn more about its mysterious appearance.
With the guidance of Kei, a knowledgeable local witch, Makoto and her friends set out on a journey to find the whale. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles and challenges, but they persevere and continue on their mission.
As they travel through the countryside, Makoto and her companions discover more about the natural world and the rich history of their community. They visit ancient ruins, study the stars, and learn about the delicate balance between humans and nature.
Eventually, they catch a glimpse of the whale once again, and this time they're able to get close enough to make contact. Makoto and her friends are amazed to discover that the whale is not just a creature of the sky, but also a guardian of the oceans.
They learn that the whale has come to the land of the witches to seek their help in defending the seas from pollution and destruction. Makoto and her friends are more than willing to lend their assistance, and they work together with the whale to create a plan of action.
Through their journey to find the whale and their subsequent collaboration, Makoto and her companions learn valuable lessons about the power of teamwork, the importance of protecting the environment, and the magic of the natural world.
In the end, they bid farewell to the whale as it takes to the skies once again, soaring off into the distance. Makoto and her friends return home with a newfound appreciation for the wonders of their world and a deeper connection to the natural forces that surround them.
