It's a snowy day in Brooklyn, and Chris can't wait to throw some snowballs and enjoy the day off from school. However, things quickly take a turn when his little brother Drew reveals that he has chicken pox, meaning he'll be stuck inside all day while Chris is out playing. Meanwhile, Julius struggles with the snowstorm as he attempts to get to work, and Rochelle tries to keep the boys entertained indoors.
Chris is disappointed that he won't be able to go outside and enjoy the snow with his friends, but Rochelle tries to make the best of the situation by suggesting indoor activities like baking cookies and playing board games. Drew, on the other hand, is feeling left out and wishes he could join in the fun outside. Chris comes up with a plan to make the day special for Drew by building a snowman outside his window where he can see it.
Meanwhile, Julius is having a tough time getting to work in the snowstorm. His car won't start, so he decides to take the bus instead. However, the bus ends up getting stuck in the snow, putting Julius even further behind schedule. He eventually hitchhikes a ride with a stranger, but the commute is so long that he ends up missing an important meeting at work.
Back at the house, Chris and Drew's snowman-building quickly becomes a competition with their neighbor's snowman. They work tirelessly to make the best snowman possible, but Drew's chicken pox eventually catches up with him and he falls asleep. Chris eventually finishes the snowman on his own, but he realizes that it's not about winning or having the best snowman - it's about spending time with his little brother and making him feel included.
In the end, Julius makes it back home safely and the family warms up with hot chocolate. Chris and Drew look out at their snowman and agree that it's the best one they've ever made - not because of how it looks, but because of the memories they made together. The episode ends with Chris reflecting on the importance of family and the little moments that make life special.
