Meanwhile, Prince Togon is struggling to keep his secret identity hidden. He is haunted by the memory of his mother, who was executed by the emperor when he was just a child. He is torn between his loyalty to his father and his desire to avenge his mother's death.

As the episode progresses, Seung Nyang and Lady Ki hatch a plan to get the emperor to spare the lives of the people who were involved in the assassination attempt. They use their feminine wiles to manipulate the emperor and get him to see things their way. In the end, they are successful, and the emperor agrees to spare the lives of the people involved.
