Empress Ki, a historical Korean drama series, tells the story of a young woman named Ki Seung-nyang who is forced to disguise herself as a man to survive in a male-dominated society. Meanwhile, a new threat emerges in the form of an ambitious minister who is bent on taking down those in power. He sets his sights on the emperor and begins plotting his downfall, with Lady Park as his key ally.
As the episode draws to a close, Seung-nyang successfully clears her name and earns the emperor's gratitude. Lady Park's scheme is exposed and she is punished accordingly. However, the minister's plan is still unfolding and it remains to be seen if Ta Hwan will be able to thwart his enemy's designs.
