Ep 37. Episode 37

The episode 37 of the show Empress Ki starts with the aftermath of the rebellion in the palace. The Empress Dowager is furious and assigns a new commander, Wang Yu, to lead the troops. He promises to restore order and catch the traitors. Meanwhile, Nyang is worried about her son's safety and asks Tal Tal to keep an eye on him. Tal Tal agrees, but he also tells her about Wang Yu's past and how he used to be married to the Empress Dowager's niece. Nyang senses trouble and warns Wang Yu to stay away from her and her son.

At the same time, the Emperor is still recovering from his injuries and is convinced that Nyang is behind the rebellion. He orders Baek Ahn to investigate her and find evidence of her treason. Baek Ahn agrees, but secretly he feels conflicted and doesn't want to harm Nyang. He meets with her and tells her about the Emperor's order, but also warns her about Wang Yu's true intentions. Nyang starts to piece things together and realizes that Wang Yu might have his own agenda.

Meanwhile, Wang Yu meets with the Empress Dowager and asks for her help to become the new Emperor. He reveals his plan to overthrow the current Emperor and take the throne with the Empress Dowager's support. The Empress Dowager is impressed with his ambition and promises to help him, but only if he can eliminate certain people who oppose her. Wang Yu agrees and starts to carry out his plan.

Nyang becomes aware of Wang Yu's plan and starts to investigate him. She meets with Tal Tal and together they gather evidence of his treachery. They confront Wang Yu and try to convince him to change his ways, but he refuses and orders his men to attack them. A fierce battle ensues, but Nyang and Tal Tal manage to overcome the attackers and escape.

In the aftermath of the battle, the Emperor finally wakes up and realizes the extent of the rebellion. He orders his troops to arrest Wang Yu and the Empress Dowager. He also apologizes to Nyang for doubting her and offers to make her his Empress. Nyang is hesitant at first, but eventually accepts his proposal.

The episode ends with Nyang becoming the new Empress and vowing to bring peace and prosperity to the kingdom. She also promises to find her lost son and reunite with him. Meanwhile, Wang Yu is executed for his crimes and the Empress Dowager is stripped of her power and exiled. The future of the kingdom looks bright, but Nyang knows that there are still many challenges ahead.
