In Dream High season 1 episode 2, we continue to follow the lives of the students at Kirin High School as they strive to achieve their dreams of becoming successful musicians. After the intense audition process in the previous episode, the students are now settling into their classes and getting to know their classmates.
One of the main plotlines focuses on Go Hye Mi (played by Suzy), a talented classical pianist who has been forced to attend Kirin High School after a family financial crisis. Hye Mi is initially hesitant about pursuing a career in music and clashes with the other students who are more passionate about their craft. However, she soon begins to see the potential in her classmates and starts to let her guard down. This leads to some touching moments between Hye Mi and fellow student Song Sam Dong (played by Kim Soo Hyun), who harbors a crush on her.
Meanwhile, we also see some drama unfold between the other Kirin High students. Ko Hyun Jung (played by IU), who is determined to become a pop star, struggles with her dance routine and receives some tough love from her teacher. Jin Gook (played by Taecyeon), a former famous singer who is now attending Kirin High to redeem himself, faces some backlash from his classmates who resent his past success. And finally, Baek Hee (played by Ham Eun Jung), who is jealous of Hye Mi's talent, makes some poor choices that adversely affect her reputation.
Throughout the episode, we see the students learn some valuable lessons about teamwork, perseverance, and staying true to yourself. One of the standout scenes is a group performance of "Dream High," the school's anthem, which sees all the students come together and put aside their differences to create something beautiful.
Overall, Dream High season 1 episode 2 is an engaging continuation of the show's premiere. It delves deeper into the characters' backstories and motivations while maintaining a lighthearted tone. The music and dance scenes are always a highlight, and the talented cast keeps the audience engaged with their performances.
