Ep 9. Takeout: Home Delivery

In the ninth episode of season 35 of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, titled “Takeout: Home Delivery,” host Guy Fieri explores some of the best dishes being delivered straight to people's homes.

Guy starts off in Burbank, California at a barbecue joint that's been serving up delicious meats for over 70 years. Here, he tries some of their famous tri-tip that's so good you won't even need the sauce – but it's so good you'll want to put it on everything anyway. Then he heads to Denver, Colorado to try some of the best pizza in town from a local pizzeria. The owner shows Guy how the pizza dough is made from scratch and cooked in a 700-degree oven, resulting in a perfectly crispy crust every time.

Next, Guy heads to Franklin, Tennessee to visit a restaurant that's known for serving up some of the best southern comfort food around. Here, Guy tries some of their classic fried chicken that's cooked to perfection and paired with some mouth-watering sides like mac and cheese and collard greens.

After that, Guy heads to Georgetown, Texas to try some of the best Mediterranean food around. The owner of the restaurant takes Guy through the different spices and flavors used in their dishes, including a delicious lamb gyro that's not to be missed.

Finally, Guy heads to Chicago, Illinois to check out a restaurant serving up creative takes on classic sandwiches. The chefs use unique ingredients like sweet potato, bacon jam, and even duck confit to take sandwiches to the next level.

Throughout the episode, Guy showcases how these restaurants have adapted to the current circumstances by offering takeout and home delivery options. Despite facing challenges, these restaurants continue to serve up incredible food that can now be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home.
