The first stop on the episode is in Houston, Texas, at a family-owned seafood restaurant that has been serving up Cajun-style seafood for over 20 years. Guy tries the Oyster Po' Boy Sandwich and the Grilled Redfish, both of which are cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The restaurant also offers a unique seafood gumbo that blends the flavors of various seafood and spices, leaving Guy singing its praises.
Next, Guy travels to Key Largo, Florida, to visit a family-owned seafood shack that has become a local institution. The restaurant's specialty is its Conch Fritters, which Guy describes as fluffy, crispy, and full of conch flavor. Additionally, the shack offers a variety of seafood dishes from Shrimp Tacos to Lobster Rolls, all made with the freshest catch of the day.
Moving on to Portland, Oregon, Guy stops at a pizzeria that's making waves with its square-shaped pies. The restaurant's claim to fame is its Detroit-Style Pizza, which is cooked in square pans and features a crispy, cheesy crust and perfectly seasoned toppings. Guy tries the Motor City Pizza, topped with pepperoni, sausage, and bacon, and says it may be one of the best pizzas he's ever had.
Finally, Guy heads to Sacramento, California, to check out a restaurant that's putting its unique spin on seafood and pizza. The eatery offers dishes like Lobster Ravioli and Shrimp and Grits, as well as a variety of specialty pizzas. Guy tries the Sacramento Pizza, which features a crispy crust topped with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and onions. He also samples the restaurant's award-winning clam chowder, which he describes as rich and flavorful.
