In season 31 episode 2 of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, host Guy Fieri takes viewers on a trip down memory lane as he revisits some of the most iconic seafood spots he's visited over the past 30 seasons of the show. Titled "Triple D Nation: From the Sea," this episode features some of the best seafood restaurants across America, from classic clam shacks to innovative seafood restaurants.
Throughout the episode, Fieri shares some of his favorite seafood recipes, including lobster rolls, fried fish, and shrimp and grits. He also chats with some of the chefs and restaurant owners about what makes their seafood dishes so special and unique.
One of the first stops on Fieri's seafood tour is the Lobster Shack in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, where he samples their famous lobster roll. From there, he travels to New Orleans to visit Drago's Seafood Restaurant, where he tries their famous charbroiled oysters.
Next up is the Crab Pot in Seattle, Washington, where Fieri enjoys a feast of seafood that includes Dungeness crab, clams, mussels, and shrimp. He also visits the Blue Moon Fish Co. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he samples their smoked fish dip and grilled swordfish.
Throughout the episode, Fieri also takes time to explore some of the unique techniques and flavor combinations that make each seafood dish so special. At the Crab Pot, for example, he learns about the restaurant's signature seafood boil, which is seasoned with their own blend of spices and herbs.
Fieri also visits some lesser-known seafood spots, such as Pearl's Saltwater Grille in Savannah, Georgia, and Lenny & Joe's Fish Tale in Madison, Connecticut. At Pearl's, he tries their Cajun-style blackened shrimp and grits, while at Lenny & Joe's, he samples their famous fried clams.
As always, Fieri is full of energy and enthusiasm as he travels across America in search of the best seafood spots. With Triple D Nation: From the Sea, he takes viewers on a fun and educational journey that celebrates the diversity and creativity of America's seafood culture.
