Guy Fieri is back on the road, searching for the best hidden gems in the food world. In this episode, titled "Delicious Discoveries," he's visiting some lesser-known spots that are serving up big flavors.
First up is a tiny joint in New Orleans serving up authentic Creole cuisine. It's run by a husband and wife team, and Guy is blown away by their gumbo and jambalaya. Next, he's headed to a Korean-American fusion spot in Los Angeles that's doing things a little differently. They're using Korean flavors in traditional American dishes, like their Korean BBQ burger.
After that, Guy is off to a sandwich shop in Virginia that's serving up some seriously creative and delicious sandwiches. He tries a Reuben with pastrami that's been marinated in beer and a lobster roll that's out of this world. Finally, he's checking out a farm-to-table restaurant in Oregon that's sourcing ingredients from their own farm and other local producers. The food is fresh, simple, and absolutely delicious.
As always, Guy is chatting it up with the chefs and owners along the way, learning about their backgrounds and the inspiration behind their dishes. And of course, he's finding plenty of excuses to use his trademark phrase, "That's money!"
