In season 28 episode 6 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, entitled "Breakfast, Brisket and Belly," host Guy Fieri sets out to explore some of the best comfort food breakfasts, brisket dishes, and belly-busting bites in America.
In the first segment, Guy takes us to a small-town diner in Maine that's been serving breakfast classics since 1927. Here, we get a taste of their famous pancakes made with real Maine blueberries and crisp bacon that adds just the right amount of saltiness. Guy also tries their Meat Lover's Omelette, which is loaded with sausage, ham, bacon, and melted cheese, making it perfect for those who want a hearty breakfast.
Next, Guy heads south to a BBQ joint in Florida that's known for their mouth-watering brisket dishes. The owner, who learned the art of smoking meats from his grandfather, uses a slow and low cooking method that produces perfectly tender and juicy brisket. Guy samples their signature dish, the "Brisket King," which is a sandwich piled high with brisket, coleslaw, and pickles, all served on a homemade bun. He also tries their Smoked Brisket Tacos, which pack a punch with their spicy chipotle sauce.
Finally, Guy ends his journey in Texas, where he visits a restaurant that specializes in hearty, belly-filling dishes. The cook, who has traveled the world and cooked for the likes of Mick Jagger, knows how to make food that satisfies.
