In the opening episode of Animal Mechanicals' first season, titled "Turbo-Bean Trouble," we are introduced to a group of adorable animal superheroes. The Mechanicals, as they are known, consist of Rex the dinosaur, Unicorn the unicorn, Sasquatch the bigfoot, Komodo the dragon, and Mouse the mouse. Each of them has a unique mechanical power that allows them to solve problems and help those in need.
As the episode begins, we see a small cute character named Island Owl, who is a bird that lives on an island that has a massive greenhouse in the center. The greenhouse is run by Granny Beryl and her assistant Wendel, who take care of a special bean that grows in the greenhouse. These beans give off energy that powers the machines that keep the island running.
However, there is an unexpected twist in the plot when Island Owl discovers that the beans are vanishing from the greenhouse. She goes to Granny and Wendell and, immediately, they all assume that it is the work of the mischievous monkey named Mechanic Keko. Mechanic Keko is fond of stealing things and causing trouble, and the suspicion is that he is the culprit.
Uncertain of their plan to deal with the issue, Mechanic Keko offers to come to their aid, but the team is skeptical, having seen his history of pranks and mischief. They decide to investigate and go into the greenhouse. The outside of the greenhouse has a large steel wall that seems impossible to dent, but the Mechanicals work together in their own unique power to punch a hole in the steel wall.
Inside the greenhouse, they find mysterious footprints that no one can identify, and upon a thorough check of the place, the team appeared to have found nothing. It is at this moment that Island Owl discovers that it is not Mechanic Keko who is stealing the beans from the greenhouse, but instead a group of small and adorable ocean creatures called the Snugfish.
However, Island Owl, Granny Beryl, and Wendell are not able to stop the Snugfish themselves, so the Mechanicals rush in to save the situation. The machine-loving Sasquatch comes in handy, as he is excellent at machines, but he could not fix the conveyor belt that the Snugfish had dismantled. Unicorn offered her skillset to fix the conveyor, but it needed the additional horsepower that was given by a team effort from Komodo and Rex. They repair the Conveyor Belt in their own unique style and then turned their attention to the Snugfish.
Mouse, with her past experience in dealing with cunning creatures, persuades the creatures to talk and explain. Once again, in collaboration, gradually, the Mechanicals learn that the Snugfish were not taking the beans to cause harm or steal but to return them to the ocean where the beans could grow and flourish. With this, the Mechanicals come up with a solution to create a living version of the bean, where the Snugfish can take it back into the ocean, and it will thrive there.
The team works vigorously to create a living version of the bean and takes it to the ocean, where the Snugfish happily return the bean. The robot animals and their meaningful cooperation show that it is not only their unique abilities but how essential they work together that solves the Turbo-Bean Trouble and leads to a happy ending.
