Jesse Eisenberg has officially been cast in the upcoming Superman/Batman movie in the role of Superman's arch-nemesis Lex Luthor, putting him opposite Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck. Variety confirms the news, and also confirms that Batman's butler Alfred has another famous veteran actor playing him: Jeremy Irons will take on the role formerly played by Michael Caine in the previous Batman trilogy.
