February 11, 2011 @ 7:41 am PST    Ugly Betty, Machete, Herbie: Fully Loaded, I Know Who Killed Me     Richard Sharp

In a week where every third word out of everyone's mouth seems to be about Lindsay Lohan, we pause to ask the Yidio Question of the Day.

Does Lindsay Lohan even deserve to be a celebrity?

Yes:

Lindsay Lohan went from a precocious little girl starring in Disney movies like “The Parent Trap” and “Freaky Friday” to a well-regarded performance in the 2004 film “Mean Girls.

February 11, 2011 @ 6:22 am PST    The Academy Awards     Scott Nye

James Franco may be front and center on February 27th, but he's not letting it get to him. In an interview with Vanity Fair's The Screening Room, Franco reveals that he won't be too bent out of shape if the whole evening goes up in flames.

"I said, 'Look, they know we're not Billy Crystal or Chris Rock,'" Franco said, recounting an early conversation with co-host Anne Hathaway, "'They're not asking us because they're expecting that.

TLC will be taking on the city that once outlawed tattoos with a new series spin-off on “Miami Ink.”

Despite the fact that tattoos were outlawed in New York from 1961 to 1997 due to tat-related outbreaks of hepatitis “C”, those behind “Miami Ink” are taking all risks to conquer the kingdom of body art in the Big Apple.

With the June premier of the all-new series “NY Ink,” viewers will get an inside look at tattoo culture in the city where America’s inking styles began.

February 11, 2011 @ 5:37 am PST    The Sopranos, I Heart Huckabees, The Fighter, Three Kings     Andy Neuenschwander

If there is one thing we all learned from "The Social Network", it's to never, ever anger a nerd.

Yet director David O. Russell, who is now helming the movie adaptation of the "Uncharted" video game, is alienating the game's original fan base bit by bit. At the start, fans saw Nathan Fillion ("Castle") as the perfect fit for the lead role of Nathan Drake, but Mark Wahlberg was cast instead.

Episode Grey's Anatomy Season 7, Episode 14 - P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) Recap
February 11, 2011 @ 5:31 am PST    Grey's Anatomy     Kelly Lynch

Grey's Anatomy experienced a bit of a lull this week, plot-wise.  Normally I'm glued to the set, hoping at least one of the patients survives.  However, we must allow for stories to pick up, so I will let this go as long as we have a great season finale (I'll never get over season two's finale when Denny died. Never).

I sense a budding romance between Lexie and Dr.

Logan's Run Redux: Long-Awaited Project Finally Hears the Starting Pistol; Ryan Gosling to Star
February 10, 2011 @ 2:13 pm PST    Logan's Run     Scott Nye
Ryan Gosling has been a darling of indie (and quasi-indie) cinema for the last decade, seeing huge acclaim in such films as "Half Nelson," "Lars and the Real Girl," and last year's "Blue Valentine," for which his costar, Michelle Williams, was recently nominated. He's best known, however, as the guy McAdams loved in the 2004 romantic drama, "The Notebook.

'Lost' Meets 'The Dark Knight': CBS Signs on for Pilot from J.J. Abrams and Batman Scribe Jonathan Nolan
February 10, 2011 @ 1:31 pm PST    Pilots     Scott Nye

In what amounts to the easiest move CBS, or any network, ever pulled, the J.J. Abrams-produced, Jonathan Nolan-developed series "Person of Interest" is heading for pilot.

Abrams and his Bad Robot production company have long been juggernauts in television, developing smart shows that also become huge hits. While they've seen their share of misses, it's hard to argue with a track record that includes "Felicity," "Alias," and "Lost.

Willow Smith as 'Annie,' Directed by 'Glee' Creator Ryan Murphy?
February 10, 2011 @ 12:44 pm PST    Glee, Eat Pray Love, Running with Scissors     Andy Neuenschwander

Just a few weeks ago, Will Smith and his production company Overbrook Entertainment partnered up with Jay-Z to produce a remake of the Broadway musical "Annie", set to star Will's daughter Willow.

While Willow Smith hasn't been in too many movies yet, she is now well-known for her single "Whip My Hair" and seems primed to make the leap to movie stardom.

The question is, who will direct? Overbrook's first choice seems to be "Glee" director Ryan Murphy, who has been approached already about the job.

Bieber can sing and certainly will have the girl fans screaming after him. Usher has the dance moves and the songs, and he makes the older girls swoon.
