Like the rest of the country, we've been riveted all day to the horrible news regarding the tsunami in Japan and threats of similar disasters in Hawaii and on the West Coast (which never really materialized but scared the buhjeezus out of us anyway).

While we're not making light of the tragedy, we figured there's no better way to help take our minds off things than to share our love for a solid sexy George Michael sax solo, courtesy of a shirtless, mulleted man in leather pants named Sergio Flores (aka George Michael Michel).

Effects of the tsunami can be felt 'round the world.

Production on "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" set has been halted after tsunami warnings in the region.

The cast, including stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, along with the crew have left Tofino, part of the Vancouver Island beach area.

“Due to the tsunami advisory, filming of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn has been delayed.

Pauly D is going to Staten Island with Vinny to visit Vinny's family. Pauly didn't know that Staten Island was an actual island. One would think the the fact that "island" is in the name would tip him off, but not so much.

Sitch seems hell bent on getting those dogs killed by feeding them marshmallow fluff and old pizza. It's all part of an elaborate prank to get the dogs to poop all over the house.

This has to be one of the stranger celebrity feuds out there: Quentin Tarantino is at odds with his neighbor, "True Blood" creator Alan Ball, over a flock of Macaws. Yes, they're fighting over parrots. It isn't just a neighborly squabble, either. Tarantino is actually going so far as to sue Ball over the matter.

What's the big deal?

Ball apparently owns a number of exotic birds, which he keeps on his property.

Yesterday, we were treated to a short synopsis of "Lost" creator J.J. Abrams' new movie, "Super 8." The synopsis gave us a little bit of info as to what happens in the film: a group of kids shooting a movie witness a train crash, and the inhuman cargo breaks loose. Today, the theatrical trailer was released, giving us a closer look at our heroes and exactly what they're dealing with.

Hollywood stars are often quick to respond when disasters like the earthquake that hit Japan early today occur, but they're not often hit by the disaster themselves. Jimmy Kimmel was vacationing on an island in French Polynesia last night when the earthquake hit, and was in the path of the resulting tsunami.

"Suddenly, relaxing on an island in the South Pacific isn't so relaxing anymore," tweeted Kimmel.

'Moon' Director Takes Cue From Aronofsky's Play Book, Turns Spec Script Into Graphic Novel

In 2005, director Darren Aronofsky pulled a surprising move, releasing his screenplay for "The Fountain" as a graphic novel after Warner Brothers shut down production of the film in 2002.

Many credit the graphic novel as one of the reasons "The Fountain" was eventually, finally filmed. Looking back, it seems oddly prescient, as many studio executives are now more likely to take on a risky story if they can see it's been published as a comic book first.
