In "School of Rock," Jack Black played a wannabe rock star who found joy in teaching the importance of music to a group of students. This week, Black took a tip from his character in the hit movie and helped make the dreams come true of a group of Washington high schoolers.

The class was set to perform at a music competition in Disneyland, but found that they wouldn't be able to make it when travel expenses could not be met.

Richard Hatch, who is famous for being the first-ever "Survivor" winner, is going to have to survive another stint in federal prison. The reality star has once again failed to pay his taxes, a problem that landed him in prison for three years a while back.

Hatch has plead innocence in cases concerning his tax evasion, which date back to 2000 when he failed to pay taxes on his $1 million winnings for "Survivor" in addition to earnings from public appearances.

Spielberg Dinosaur Show 'Terra Nova' Pushed Back Until Fall

When you're making a show about dinosaurs, somtimes you just need to take a little extra time. Fox is announcing that their Steven Spielberg-produced dinosaur drama "Terra Nova" will be pushed back until the fall season, as the post-production work seems to be taking longer than originally planned.

Fox president Kevin Reilly told Entertainment Weekly: "'Terra Nova' is one of the most ambitious television series ever produced.

If, like us, you woke up to news this morning of the 8.9 earthquake (amongst the most powerful in history) and the resulting tsunami in Japan, and the warnings that it's headed to Hawaii and the West Coast, you're just getting around to watching some of the truly horrific footage coming out of Japan.

According to CNN, the Prime Minister Naoto Kan of Japan said the "enormously powerful" earthquake has caused "tremendous damage" throughout Japan, with particular damage inflicted in the Sendai area, about 230 miles from Tokyo.

Mel Gibson Officially Charged with Misdemeanor Battery

After months of investigation, Gibson has finally been charged with misdemeanor battery for allegedly assaulting his former girlfriend.

The altercation stems back to January 2010, when Gibson allegedly used violence against Oksana Grigorieva, mother to Gibson’s 1-year-old-daughter, during a heated argument.

According to Extra, Gibson is expected to accept a plea agreement, which means he will not see any jail time.

Pregnant Singer Jewel in Hospital After Being Hit by Fire Truck

Singer Jewel was hit by a volunteer fire truck Friday morning in Stephenville, Texas.

PopEater reports that Jewel, who is pregnant, was in the car that was “nearly totaled” by a truck that was on its way to put out a nearby grass fire. The occupant of the fire truck was Erath County Commissioner Jim Pack.

While it’s not clear whether Jewel was driving or in the passenger seat, most of the damage appears to be in the front and on the passengers’ side.
