A&E has made a name for itself in the documentary/reality show niche as viewers find themselves addicted to the drama of shows like "Intervention" and "Hoarders." While neither of those shows are set to return until later, the Fall 2011 slate for A&E is still packed with some fun reality fare to hold you over.

It should come as no surprise when "The Vampire Diaries" tries to emulate "True Blood." After all, they're both shows about vampires with love triangles. So when you see the newest preview for "The Vampire Diaries" season three, your reaction might be "sure, that makes sense." Or, you might squeal with delight.

Man, someone needs to take away the shovel from Mel Gibson. Just as it seems he is honestly trying to make an effort to fix what he's broken, he does something to dig the hole a little deeper. Gibson, who was caught on tape going on a drunken, anti-Semitic rant in '06, is reportedly moving forward with a movie about a Jewish warrior with buddy Joe Ezterhas.

If it ever happens, the next "Friday The 13th" might become a "found-footage" flick. According to recent reports, the movie may be shot in the style of "Apollo 18," "The Blair Witch Project" and "Paranormal Activity" and be presented as some authentic, victim-shot footage of the big Sloth-y goalie's killing spree.

SyFy President Mark Stern announced this week that the freshman drama "Alphas," about superhuman investigators has so pleased network brass that they've ordered another 13 episodes to start airing next year. Since the July 11 premiere, the series has collected ratings marking a two-year high for any SyFy scripted original series, including "Eureka."
