While we've seen some musical episodes of TV shows in the past ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer" had a particularly good one), it wasn't until "Glee" came along that the idea of a full-on musical show seemed possible. Now, NBC has stepped up in an attempt to create the next big TV musical with "Smash."

When "Glee" released a recent episode focused on two teens who lose their virginity (one straight and one gay), it caused protests from the Parents' Television Council even before it had aired. Wonder what they'll think of this week's episode, when Santana comes out and the cast sings Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl"?

Who'da thunk it? A show about two normal-looking dudes rummaging through barnyards and jam-packed homes in the far corners of the Midwest is a runaway success for The History Channel. "American Pickers" starts a new season tonight, and there will be far more people watching than you would imagine.
