Oh, my. There is no joy in "Cougar Town," folks. A mighty comedy has struck out. The Courtney Cox-led sexy suburbs hit resumed its third season Tuesday night, but alas, marked the occasion by watching its rating nosedive 47 percent to a series-low 1.8 among adults 18-49 years old.

Look who NBC is bringing to dinner. The Peacock's nest isn't screwing around with formalities with this one, either. Entertainment Weekly reports the network has given writer Bryan Fuller's tenatively titled "Hannibal" project a direct-to-series order - giving it a rare bypass of the usually all-important "pilot" phase calling up 13 episodes of the first TV series to spotlight Thomas Harris' famed sociopathic monster, Hannibal Lecter.

February 15, 2012 @ 8:32 am PST    Ringer, Wild Things     Morgan Glennon
Can I just say wow? For once 'Ringer' both impressed and surprised me. I did not see the reveal with Juliet and Mr. Carpenter coming. This was easily one of the best episodes of the entire season, due in large part to how quickly the narrative began moving forward.

Bill O'Reilly: Did Whitney Houston Want To 'Destroy' Herself?
February 14, 2012 @ 8:59 pm PST    Fox News Specials, The Bodyguard     Sean Comer
To be fair, we could've have expected that he'd mince words. What Fox News pundit Bill O'Reilly has to say below will piss people off. There's just no getting around it. Amid the outpouring of emotion and grief from Whitney Houston's peers and fans both following her unexpected death this past weekend, O'Reilly made some rather . . . "pointed" remarks during his most recent "The O'Reilly Factor.

Listen to Adele's Next Single Release, 'Rumour Has It'
February 14, 2012 @ 4:58 pm PST    The Grammys     Sean Comer
Adele's phenomenal rise doesn't look like it's stopping for breath. If it seems like only yesterday she swept all six of her 2012 Grammy nominations in her triumphant return from late-2011 vocal chord surgery . . . well, that's not too far off. It was, after all, just Sunday night. The British chanteusse, though, has named "Rumour Has It" the sequel she hopes will give her a grand-slam fourth hit from her Album of the Year-winning 21.

'The Voice' Wins Monday Night For NBC, But 'Smash' Slips

"The Voice" just keeps carrying and drowning out Monday night competitors, but "Smash" made a smaller dent in its second week, reports Entertainment Weekly. Yep. We're going with the puns today. Judge me. Though "The Voice" carried 16.1 million viewers and a 5.9 rating among adults age 18-49, it was still a 12-percent slip off its time slot debut rating that paired with midseason rookie drama "Smash" sinking 26 percent.
