Ep 1. Episode 1

The show Zindagi Gulzar Hai begins with the introduction of the main character, Kashaf Murtaza, who is introduced as a hardworking and determined young woman. She is from a lower-income background and is shown to be struggling financially. Her mother is divorced, and she has two sisters and a younger brother who she is responsible for.

Kashaf is determined to go to university, and we see her work extremely hard to attain a scholarship that will allow her to pay for tuition. Throughout the first episode, we see her go through various struggles in the classroom and at home. She faces discrimination and bias from her peers and even her teachers because of her background. Regardless, she is determined to work hard and prove herself.

We also get introduced to another character, Zaroon Junaid, who comes from an affluent family. He is shown to be confident, charming, and an overall smooth talker. We see him interact with his friends and family, and it is apparent that he has a sense of superiority and privilege that comes with his wealth.

As the episode progresses, we see Kashaf and Zaroon's paths cross. They both end up in the same classroom, and due to a misunderstanding, they end up not on the best of terms. However, we can see that there is tension and attraction between the two, despite their differences.

In addition to Kashaf's struggles in the classroom and with her family, we also see her deal with the emotional trauma caused by her absentee father. Her mother constantly reminds her of the pain he has caused them and holds a deep resentment towards him. As a result, Kashaf is torn between wanting to meet him and not wanting to disrupt the fragile peace her family has found.

The first episode sets the stage for the rest of the series, where we see Kashaf and Zaroon's relationship develop and also witness how their individual struggles unfold. It also sheds light on the realities of classism in Pakistan and how it affects people's lives.

Overall, Zindagi Gulzar Hai's first episode is a fantastic start to the series. It sets up the storylines and characters well and hooks the viewer in right from the beginning. The show is a must-watch for anyone interested in Pakistani drama and a great introduction to the culture.
