Josh gets more than he bargained for when he accidentally uncovers a mysterious supernatural power in episode 7 of Young Dracula season 2, titled "Insomnia." As the episode unfolds, the young vampire faces a harrowing battle against an ancient evil that threatens not only his family's safety but also his own sanity.

The episode opens with Josh experiencing a severe bout of insomnia, leaving him weary and drained. Despite his efforts to get a good night's sleep, he finds himself tossing and turning, unable to shut down his thoughts. His restlessness is made worse by unsettling nightmares that seem disturbingly real.

In an attempt to support their troubled friend, the Dracula family rally around Josh. Vlad, the young half-human, half-vampire count, suggests that they research the topic of vampire insomnia to find a solution. They discover a long-forgotten vampire legend that tells of an ancient evil entity responsible for vampire sleeplessness. Intrigued and desperate for answers, they delve deeper into the legends but find only vague references.

Meanwhile, tensions rise within the Dracula household as their enemies begin closing in. Count Dracula, Vlad's father, grows increasingly suspicious of Renfield, his loyal servant, suspecting him of treachery. Renfield, however, swears his loyalty, leaving the Count torn between trust and doubt. The strained relationships between the characters add an extra layer of complexity to the already intense storyline.

As Josh's insomnia worsens, he becomes increasingly vulnerable to the malevolent forces lurking in the shadows. Paranoia and fear grip him, seeping into his interactions with those around him. His friendship with Vlad is tested as he struggles to maintain control over his own mind, terrified of losing the only anchor he has left.

In a last-ditch effort to save Josh, Vlad seeks out the help of an ally from his mother's past. The mystery ally, an eccentric and enigmatic sorceress, provides Vlad with a long-forgotten spell that could potentially banish the ancient evil causing Josh's insomnia. The cost of the spell, however, is high, and it brings its own set of risks.

As the spell is cast, a showdown between good and evil ensues. The Dracula family, joined by their loyal friends and allies, face off against the malevolent force that has plagued them throughout the episode. The battle tests their strength, both physically and emotionally, and forces them to confront their deepest fears.

In a dramatic climax, the Dracula family's determination to protect Josh leads to a shocking twist that changes the course of their lives forever. The episode concludes with a poignant moment of reflection and introspection as the characters grapple with the consequences of their actions.

"Insomnia" is a riveting episode that explores themes of fear, loyalty, and the lengths we go to protect those we care about. The intense storyline, coupled with exceptional performances from the show's talented cast, keeps viewers on the edge of their seats throughout. With its complex characters, unexpected plot twists, and supernatural elements, it is an episode that leaves a lasting impact and sets the stage for the remainder of the season.
