In season 1 episode 9 of You Gotta Eat Here, host John Catucci heads to three different restaurants in the greater Toronto area to sample their delicious fare. First up is the Urban Deli, a European-style deli that's been a staple in Toronto's Queen West neighborhood for over a decade. John meets with the owner, who walks him through their extensive selection of cured meats, cheeses, and gourmet sandwiches. He tries out a few of their top-sellers, including the Italian Stallion sandwich and the balsamic strawberry salad, both of which are perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor.

Next, John heads over to Ches's Fish and Chips, an iconic eatery that's been serving up Newfoundland-style fish and chips since the '50s. He meets with the owner, who shares some of the restaurant's history with him and explains how they've managed to maintain their high standards of quality over the years. John tries out some of their classic menu items, including their signature fish and chips, which are made with fresh cod and a secret recipe batter that's been passed down through generations.

Last but not least, John heads to Reggie's Hot Grill, a popular diner that specializes in comfort food with a twist. He meets with the owner, who gives him a tour of their massive kitchen and shows off some of their unique equipment, including a custom-built contraption that allows them to cook burgers with a blow torch. John tries out some of their most popular menu items, including their BBQ bacon cheeseburger and their hot dog topped with mac and cheese. The food is rich, flavorful, and sure to satisfy any comfort food craving.

Overall, the episode is a celebration of three distinct restaurants that each offer something unique to the Toronto food scene. John's enthusiasm and willingness to try anything make him the perfect guide, and viewers will be left hungry and eager to visit these delicious destinations.
