In season 1 episode 29 of You Gotta Eat Here, host John Catucci travels to three unique and flavorful eateries in British Columbia.

First up is The Reef, a Caribbean-inspired restaurant in Victoria. John samples their famous Jerk Chicken and is blown away by the bold and spicy flavor. He also tries their plantain chips and a Rum Swizzle cocktail, all while soaking up the vibrant island atmosphere.

Next, John makes his way to Smokin George's BBQ Restaurant & Takeout in Nanaimo. The owner, George, shows John how he slow-cooks his meat for up to 14 hours, resulting in mouth-watering pulled pork, beef brisket, and smoked sausage. John also tries their famous brisket poutine, which he declares as one of the best he's ever had.

Finally, John heads to Mickey's Dragon Pizza in Vancouver, where the owner, Mickey, combines classic Italian flavors with Asian influences to create unique and delicious pizza combinations. John tries their "K-Town" pizza, topped with Korean-style bulgogi beef, kimchi, and mozzarella cheese, as well as their "Cantonese" pizza, complete with char siu pork, hoisin sauce, and green onions.

Throughout the episode, John showcases the passion and expertise of the restaurant owners, as well as the diverse flavors and culinary creativity found in British Columbia's food scene.
