In Yo-kai Watch season 1 episode 38, titled "Our 300 Yen War," we see the continuation of the adventures of Nate, a young boy who can see and interact with mischievous spirits known as Yo-kai.

The episode begins with Nate and his friends Whisper and Jibanyan arguing over how to spend their lunch money. Nate wants to buy a special limited edition gum, while Whisper and Jibanyan want to save their money to buy a new video game. The argument leads to a bet between the three friends: whoever can have the most fun with their purchase will win and the losers will have to mow all of the lawns in the neighborhood for a week.

As Nate walks through the mall looking for his limited edition gum, he encounters a Yo-kai named Cheeksqueek who possesses him and makes him spend all of his money on a toy vending machine. Meanwhile, Whisper and Jibanyan run into a Yo-kai named Tattletell who possesses Jibanyan and makes him reveal Whisper's secret desire to buy a new video game.

Nate, now broke, is forced to team up with Whisper and Jibanyan to earn back their lunch money by collecting recyclables and selling them. The trio splits up to maximize their collecting efforts and encounter different Yo-kai along the way, including a group of Yo-kai who are fighting over a single piece of trash.

As the day wears on, the competition between Nate, Whisper, and Jibanyan becomes more and more intense, with each trying to outdo the others in terms of how much recycling they collect. However, their efforts are ultimately thwarted by a man who steals their collected recyclables and sells them for his own profit.

Feeling defeated, Nate, Whisper, and Jibanyan run into the Yo-kai that were fighting over the single piece of trash earlier in the day. They learn that the Yo-kai were former best friends who had a falling out over a 300 yen coin. The Yo-kai help Nate and his friends realize that their friendship is worth more than any amount of money and teach them a valuable lesson about the importance of teamwork and camaraderie.

The episode ends with Nate, Whisper, and Jibanyan reconciling and agreeing to work together to mow the lawns in the neighborhood. As they walk away, a mysterious Yo-kai watches them from a distance, hinting at more adventures to come.

Overall, "Our 300 Yen War" is a heartwarming and entertaining episode that teaches valuable lessons about friendship, teamwork, and the importance of valuing relationships above material possessions. It also features a colorful cast of Yo-kai that add humor and depth to the story, making it an enjoyable watch for children and adults alike.
