In the Yes, Dear season 1 episode 16 titled "Moon over Kindergarten," Jimmy and Greg decide to volunteer at their children's kindergarten on career day. However, they soon realize that all the interesting jobs have been taken and they are left with boring options like being an accountant or a tax inspector. Meanwhile, Kim gets into an argument with the principal over her moon rock exhibit, which he believes is a fake.
At the kindergarten, Jimmy and Greg struggle to keep the children interested in their dull jobs. Jimmy, who is playing the role of an accountant, attempts to explain what he does for a living but the children quickly get bored. Greg, on the other hand, tries his hand at being a tax inspector but only succeeds in getting the children to hate him. They both feel embarrassed and frustrated and begin to question their career choices.
Meanwhile, Kim discovers that her moon rock has gone missing and accuses the principal of stealing it. She is adamant that the rock she found is authentic and refuses to back down. Her husband, who had originally advised her to let it go, is surprised by her determination and finds her more attractive because of it.
As the day progresses, Jimmy and Greg's situation goes from bad to worse. Jimmy accidentally shreds all the children's artwork while trying to fix the copier and Greg accidentally sets off the fire alarm while demonstrating fire safety. They both decide to quit and leave the school before the day gets any worse.
Kim eventually finds her moon rock in the principal's office and realizes that she had accidentally brought the wrong rock to school. She apologizes to the principal and admits her mistake. Kim's determination and honesty earn the principal's respect, and he allows her to keep her exhibit.
At the end of the day, Jimmy and Greg see how much their wives' determination and honesty have earned them both respect and admiration. They realize that they too need to be more focused and dedicated to their careers. The episode ends on a positive note as the couples come together and reflect on the lessons they learned that day.
