Kazuma Azuma, a young boy who dreams of becoming a bread artisan in Japan, continues his journey in episode 2 of Yakitate!! Japan season 1. He has entered the Pantasia Rookie Tournament to showcase his bread-making skills and compete against other bakers.
In this episode, the theme for the competition is Maharajah bread, a type of bread that originates from India and is packed with various spices. Kazuma is excited as he has experience with Indian spices from his grandfather's spice shop.
