Ep 3. Getting Wet in New Jersey

In the third episode of season 4 of Xtreme Waterparks, viewers are taken on a wild ride through New Jersey's most exhilarating and boundary-pushing water attractions. From an indoor water park that brings the fun of summertime swimming and sliding indoors, to an outdoor park that offers heart-pounding thrills from towering heights, this episode is packed with non-stop action and adventure.

The episode opens on Action Park, a legendary amusement park known for its daring and extreme rides. Here, we see adrenaline junkies of all ages try their hand at a variety of challenges. First up is the park's infamous "Cannonball" slide, which propels riders down a steep and slick slope on a ridiculously small inflatable raft. Next, we see guests take on the "Tarzan Swing," a rope swing that sends riders soaring over a pool of icy water.

After the excitement of Action Park, the episode takes a turn to showcase some more family-friendly water fun. We follow a family as they visit Sahara Sam's Oasis, one of New Jersey's premier indoor water parks. Here, the whole family can enjoy a variety of slides, pools, and activities, without worrying about the weather outside. We see the kids having a blast on the park's many colorful slides, while parents lounge in the lazy river or soak in the hot tubs.

But the real highlight of the episode comes later, when we visit Morey's Piers and Beachfront Water Parks, a sprawling complex that offers not one, not two, but three separate amusement parks and two full-sized water parks. Here, we meet a group of four girlfriends who are ready to let loose and get wet. First, we follow them to Raging Waters, where they tackle "Wipeout," a huge obstacle course that includes balance beams, punching bags, and giant balls. The friends barely make it past the first obstacle before plunging into the water below, but they're all laughs and smiles as they climb back up to try again.

Next, the group heads to Ocean Oasis Waterpark, where they ride the "Skypond Journey," a slide that features a transparent dome that seems to float above the ground. As they climb the stairs to the top of the slide, the friends are all nerves and giggles, but once they take the plunge, they're screaming and whooping with pure joy. We see them repeat the slide again and again, taking in the views of the Atlantic Ocean below.

Finally, we join the girls at Mariner's Pier, where they prepare to take on a new attraction that has just opened. This ride, known as "The Wave," is a giant surf simulator that lets riders experience the thrill of catching a wave without ever leaving dry land. The friends don their wetsuits and bravely step onto the mechanical surfboard, where they're immediately jolted by the powerful currents. We see them wipe out time and again, but they're all grinning from ear to ear from the sheer thrill of it all.

Throughout the episode, we also get glimpses of other New Jersey water attractions, such as Thundering Surf Waterpark and Breakwater Beach, both of which offer their own unique and exciting rides and experiences. As the episode comes to a close, viewers can't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the sheer creativity and ingenuity of these water parks, and the joy that they bring to visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
