In Xena: Warrior Princess season 2 episode 4, titled "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun," Xena and her companion, Gabrielle, must navigate their way through a town overrun by a group of rowdy, party-loving women known as the Bacchae. These women have been transformed into crazed, blood-thirsty creatures by the god of wine, Bacchus, and they are causing chaos throughout the town.
Xena and Gabrielle soon discover that the Bacchae's transformation can be reversed if they can get them to abstain from wine and partying for a certain amount of time. But this is easier said than done, as the Bacchae are determined to keep the party going.
In their efforts to save the town, Xena and Gabrielle must also contend with a group of ruthless men who seek to take advantage of the Bacchae's chaos for their own gain. These men have captured a young girl, and Xena and Gabrielle must rescue her before it's too late.
