In the second episode of season 12 of "Would I Lie To You?," host Rob Brydon presides over another round of hilarious and unpredictable deception as two teams of comedians attempt to outwit each other with obscure facts and outrageous lies. Joining team captains David Mitchell and Lee Mack are guest panelists Claudia Winkleman, Jo Brand, Greg Davies, and Ray Mears.
In each round, one member of each team is given a statement and must convince the opposing team that it is true, even if it's not. The other team then has a chance to ask questions and try to spot any inconsistencies or telltale signs of dishonesty. If they are able to correctly identify the lie, they earn a point, but if they are convinced by the fibber, their opponents get the point.
The first round kicks off with Lee Mack attempting to convince the other team that he was once mistaken for a famous Brazilian footballer, despite having no knowledge of the game. Meanwhile, Claudia Winkleman claims that she was once pulled over by the police while dressed as a clown, prompting some rather skeptical reactions from the opposing team.
Next up, David Mitchell tells a story about a chance encounter with Prince Charles, while Greg Davies wows everyone with tales of his unlikely friendship with a famous footballer. Ray Mears then reveals an unusual talent for animal impressions, before Jo Brand regales the teams with a rather questionable adventure involving a seagull.
As the episode progresses, the stakes get higher and the lies get even more absurd, culminating in a tense final round in which both teams must identify the true story out of a selection of bizarre and unlikely options. With plenty of laughs, surprises, and unexpected twists, the second episode of "Would I Lie To You?" season 12 is a must-watch for fans of witty and irreverent comedy.
