Ep 5. Singing Waitress

In season 1 episode 5 of Would I Lie To You?, called "Singing Waitress," the panelists must decipher fact from fiction as two teams compete against each other by telling stories and trying to convince the other team that their story is true. This episode features celebrity guests including comedians Jack Dee and David Mitchell, singer Rachel Stevens, and actor Rufus Hound.

Host Rob Brydon divides the teams between Mitchell and Hound, who go head-to-head in trying to convince the other team that their story is true. Each member of the team presents a story, but only one of them is telling the truth. The opposing team must then question the storyteller to unravel the truth behind their tale.

One of the challenges in this episode is led by Jack Dee, who presents a group of items to the opposing team, one of which belonged to Jack's late mother. The panelists must guess which item is Jack's mother's, prompting both teams to struggle with discerning the truth.

Later on, David Mitchell provides a particularly challenging story involving a solitary pint glass that he encountered during an evening out. Both teams are left perplexed as they try to determine whether David's tale is real or imaginary.

Throughout the show, the panelists must use their wits and power of deduction to identify the truth among the lies. With lively banter and clever wordplay, "Singing Waitress" showcases the funny, unpredictable and entertaining nature of Would I Lie To You?
