In Worst Cooks in America season 9 episode 7, the celebrity edition of the cooking competition continues with a new challenge, Live and Let Dough. The remaining celebrity recruits are tasked with making homemade pizza from scratch. This seemingly simple challenge becomes a nightmare for some of the recruits as they struggle to work with yeast and kneading dough.
Chefs Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence guide the recruits through the process, offering tips and tricks to achieve the perfect crust and toppings. However, not all of the recruits listen to their advice, leading to some disastrous results. One recruit in particular struggles with the concept of rolling out the dough and ends up with a pizza that more closely resembles a cracker than a fresh, crispy pizza.
Meanwhile, another recruit is shocked to find out that the cheese they thought was mozzarella is actually cheddar, leading to a completely different flavor profile than they had intended. The judges, including guest judge Scott Conant, taste each pizza and critique them on flavor, texture, and appearance.
After the pizza challenge, the recruits are split into two teams for a relay race. Each team must cook a pasta dish with one team member starting the dish, then tagging in the next team member to continue the cooking process. This challenge tests their communication and teamwork skills as they try to create a cohesive dish together.
As always, there are some bumps in the road as they struggle to communicate effectively and make sure each component of the dish is cooked properly. One team in particular struggles with timing, leading to an overcooked pasta dish that falls flat with the judges.
The episode culminates in another elimination round, where one celebrity recruit is sent home. The judges base their decision on the overall performance throughout the episode, including both challenges and their progress throughout the competition.
Overall, Celebrity: Live and Let Dough is a challenging yet entertaining episode of Worst Cooks in America season 9. With plenty of cooking mishaps and personality clashes, it keeps viewers on the edge of their seats, wondering who will come out on top and who will be sent home.
