In this episode of Worst Cooks in America, titled "Fish Freak Out," the remaining contestants are put to the test as they learn how to prepare different types of fish dishes. The episode kicks off with a game of "Fish Parts," in which the contestants are blindfolded and must identify different parts of a fish by touch alone. This proves to be a challenge for many of the cooks, who struggle to differentiate between the scales, fins, and other parts of the fish.
Next, the contestants are given a demonstration on how to fillet a fish by Chef Anne and Chef Tyler. They then have to practice their own filleting skills on a whole fish, with some more successful than others. The cooks are then split into two teams for a fish preparation challenge, in which they must clean and cook a whole fish for a group of diners. The pressure is on as the teams race against the clock to prepare their dishes, with some struggling with the intricate process of cleaning and filleting the fish.
Following the dinner service, the contestants are called back into the kitchen for the elimination challenge. Each cook must create their own unique fish dish using the ingredients provided, and they are judged on taste, creativity, and presentation. As the judges taste each dish, some of the cooks prove to have improved greatly since the beginning of the competition, while others fail to impress with their lackluster dishes.
In the end, one contestant is sent home while the others move on to the next challenge. The episode concludes with a sneak peek into the next episode, teasing even more culinary challenges and mishaps to come.
