In episode 2 of Worst Cooks in America season 10, titled Frozen Freak Out, the remaining contestants are tasked with facing their fears and learning how to cook frozen food properly. Chefs Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence start by demonstrating how to properly handle and cook frozen meats without causing freezer burn.
The contestants are then divided into two teams to compete in a frozen food relay race. Each team must thaw, prepare, and cook a variety of frozen ingredients, including chicken breast, shrimp, and vegetables. The winning team is the first to finish and properly cook all of their ingredients.
Next, Chef Burrell demonstrates how to properly make a classic mushroom-stuffed chicken breast with a side of roasted vegetables. The chefs guide the contestants through the recipe, but the contestants must rely on their own skills to complete the dish.
Finally, in the main challenge, the contestants must create their own frozen dish using a variety of frozen ingredients. The chefs observe the contestants' preparations and offer guidance as needed. The contestants then present their dishes to a panel of judges, who provide feedback on the dishes' taste, appearance, and overall execution.
Throughout the episode, the contestants face various challenges, including struggling to properly thaw frozen meat, overcooking or undercooking ingredients, and failing to properly season their dishes. At the end of the episode, one contestant is eliminated from the competition, and the remaining contestants move on to the next challenge, striving to become the best cook they can be.
