World's Toughest Fixes is a reality TV show that follows host Sean Riley as he sets out to explore some of the most challenging engineering tasks in the world. Another challenge the crew faces is the need to avoid disrupting traffic. The bridge has to remain open during the renovation work, which means the crew has to work around it. This involves building temporary work platforms beneath the bridge, so that workers can access the truss without blocking the lanes of traffic. Sean gets a close look at these platforms, which are made of steel beams and mesh netting.
