In the first segment, "Get Set for 'ET,'" WordFriends Frog, Dog, and Duck are excited to meet a new friend who is visiting Word World from outer space - an alien named ET. But they soon realize that communicating with ET is not as easy as they thought. All the WordFriends must work together to create words and understand what ET is trying to say. In the second segment, "Duck Plays the Piano," viewers witness the musical talents of the WordFriend Duck. He discovers an abandoned piano and decides to play a tune. But his lack of experience playing the instrument leads to some comical mishaps - the keys literally fall off! Duck is determined to become a better player, so with the help of his friends and some clever word building, they turn the broken piano into an amazing and unique instrument. Duck's musical talents are finally showcased in a grand performance for all of Word World to see.
