Ep 8. Too Loud
- October 21, 2016
In the eighth episode of Word Party season 2, titled "Too Loud," the lovable animal characters continue to learn new words and concepts through play and songs.
The episode starts with Bailey the elephant excitedly announcing that he is going to play his trumpet for his friends. However, his enthusiastic playing ends up being too loud for Lulu the panda, Kip the wallaby, and Franny the cheetah. They all cover their ears and beg Bailey to stop.
Feeling hurt and embarrassed, Bailey runs away to sulk. The other animals realize that they need to help Bailey feel better and learn about the importance of being sensitive to others' needs. They come up with a plan to surprise Bailey with a new instrument that won't be as loud as his trumpet - a harmonica.
At first, Bailey is hesitant to try the new instrument, but with his friends' encouragement, he gives it a try. He discovers that he loves playing the harmonica and that it's just as fun as playing the trumpet, but it's not as loud. The animals come together and have a harmonica concert, which serves as a great reminder that there are always ways to compromise and work together to solve problems.
Throughout the episode, the animals learn new words like "compromise" and "sensitive," which are gently woven into the story and reinforced through catchy songs and repetition. The show also emphasizes important social-emotional skills like empathy, cooperation, and self-awareness.
"Too Loud" is a great episode for young kids to watch to learn about how to be respectful of others and communicate their needs effectively. It's a heartwarming and fun episode that will leave the whole family smiling and humming along to the songs.
