Wolverine and the X-Men is an American animated television series based on Marvel Comics' X-Men superhero team. The show premiered on September 6, 2008. The fourth episode of season one is titled Overflow.

The episode begins with the mutant Boom Boom sitting alone in her room, feeling frustrated and misunderstood by her fellow X-Men. She unleashes her explosive powers, causing a huge explosion that knocks out the power to the X-Mansion. Wolverine and Beast investigate the cause of the power outage and discover that the power station nearby has been destroyed, causing the entire city to lose power.

The two X-Men set out to investigate and discover that the Brotherhood of Mutants is responsible for the destruction of the power station. Wolverine and Beast engage the Brotherhood in a battle, but are quickly outnumbered and outmatched. The Brotherhood manages to capture Wolverine and escape.

Meanwhile, one of the X-Men, Shadowcat, is tasked with repairing the power station. She discovers that one of the damaged circuits is linked to a potentially catastrophic coolant leak. She alerts Wolverine, who is still being held captive by the Brotherhood.

As Wolverine tries to escape, the Brotherhood's leader, Mystique, reveals her plan to use the coolant leak to cause a massive explosion that will destroy the X-Mansion and kill all of the X-Men. Wolverine manages to free himself and alert his team to the danger.

The X-Men work together to contain the coolant leak and prevent the explosion from happening. They succeed, but not without a few close calls and tense moments. In the end, the X-Men emerge victorious and the city's power is restored.

Overflow is an action-packed episode that showcases the X-Men's teamwork and resourcefulness in the face of danger. It also highlights the personal struggles of individual mutants, such as Boom Boom's feelings of isolation and the Brotherhood's misguided attempts to gain acceptance through violence.

The animation is well done, with dynamic fight scenes and impressive displays of mutant powers. The voice acting is also strong, with Steven Blum delivering a gritty portrayal of Wolverine and Kari Wahlgren providing a sympathetic voice for Boom Boom.

Overall, Overflow is an engaging episode that fans of Wolverine and the X-Men will enjoy. It has enough action, character development, and plot twists to keep viewers invested from beginning to end.
