In WKRP in Cincinnati season 3 episode 11 titled "Frog Story," the radio station is holding a talent contest that attracts a wide variety of acts, including Herb's wife Lucille, who wants to sing a ballad. However, it's station manager Andy who unwittingly becomes the star of the show when he swaps places with Johnny Fever on the night of the finals.

As the contest begins, it quickly becomes clear that Lucille's hopes of winning are slim, as the other acts are proving to be much more talented. Andy, Johnny, Les and Venus are the judges, and they each have their own favorites. But when Andy is suddenly called away to deal with a major crisis, Johnny takes over his duties as MC.

As he introduces the acts, Johnny starts to become disillusioned with the whole contest, feeling that it's just a cheap way for WKRP to get some free publicity. When he introduces a particularly bad act, a ventriloquist whose dummy is a frog, Johnny starts to lose his grip on reality. He becomes obsessed with the frog, convinced that it's talking to him. Meanwhile, Andy is dealing with a different kind of frog-related crisis, as Herb has accidentally let loose a shipment of live frogs in the station.

As the night draws to a close and the winners are announced, Johnny becomes increasingly erratic. He ends up kidnapping the frog and running off with it, pursued by Andy and the others. In the chaos that ensues, Lucille finally gets her chance to perform her ballad, and it's revealed that she actually has a great voice.

Overall, "Frog Story" is a lighthearted and entertaining episode that showcases the quirky characters and wacky situations that made WKRP in Cincinnati such a beloved show. From the talent contest shenanigans to the frog-related chaos, there's never a dull moment in this episode. Fans of the show will appreciate the familiar faces and the playful spirit that made WKRP in Cincinnati one of the most beloved sitcoms of the 1970s and 80s.
