On the other hand, Grace's relationship with Val takes a turn for the worse when Val belittles her at work. Grace realizes that Val only hired her for the job to look good in front of her friends and does not respect her as a professional. This realization drives Grace to take an impulsive action and quit her job, which leaves her with no income source.
As the episode progresses, Will's and Grace's respective challenges continue, and they both struggle to deal with them. Will becomes insecure about his love life and starts questioning his relationship with Vince, while Grace feels downcast about her career. The two friends help each other out as they battle their individual issues.
