Ep 3. Box Turtled In!

In the episode Box Turtled In! of Wild Kratts season 4, the Kratt brothers, Chris and Martin, are venturing in a deciduous forest in search of box turtles. They have plans to observe and learn more about these interesting creatures, how they move, and their survival skills. Box turtles are known to be slow-moving reptiles that carry their homes on their backs - their shells.

On their before they get to encounter the box turtles, however, the Kratt brothers encounter fashion designer Donita Donata and her assistant Dabio who are looking for animals with interesting body parts to add to their collection of designs. Donita's designs are made to be fashionable at the expense of wildlife and this doesn’t go well with the Kratt brothers since it is against the very purpose of the Wild Kratts team.

Chris and Martin immediately recognise that the fashion designer is a threat to the box turtles and other slow-moving creatures in the forest and they decide to intervene before more damage is done. Their rescue mission is, however, complicated by Donita's assistant Dabio who uses large mushrooms as trampolines to jump high in the treetops as he delivers light-up shoes to Donita.

The Kratt brothers need to come up with a plan to confront Donita and stop her from exploiting animals. Not only is fashion her game, but Donita also has a fascination with making her fashion line light up, which further motivates the Kratt brothers to confront her. Chris and Martin devise a plan to borrow Dabio's light-up shoes and use them to lure the turtles out of harm's way.

After securing the box turtles, the Kratt brothers leave them with their Tortuga HQ team, a technology-driven tower where the team can process all activities and data collected from the animals in the forest. Later, Donita attempts to steal the Kratt brothers' shoes, hoping to use them to design more of her light-up fashion line.

The Kratt brothers and their team must rendezvous with Donita, who has set a trap, with her partner Dabio, using an array of light-up shoes that the Kratt brothers can't navigate past without getting caught. The brothers use their wit and animal instincts to evade her trap, recover the shoes, and save a giant Galapagos tortoise that had also been caught in her trap.

Overall, Wild Kratts season 4 episode 3 Box Turtled In! is an exciting adventure that teaches about the importance of respecting and safeguarding wildlife. Chris and Martin, as usual, serve as a perfect role model to kids as they do not only show courage in the face of danger but also care about the welfare of nature and the animals living therein. This episode also teaches problem-solving, team-building and trusting one's instincts.
