Ep 26. Groundhog Wake Up Call

The Wild Kratts are back with an exciting new episode of animal adventures! In season 2 episode 26, titled "Groundhog Wake Up Call," the Kratt brothers are on a mission to find out why groundhogs hibernate.

The episode begins as Chris and Martin Kratt observe a group of groundhogs emerging from their burrows after a long winter. The brothers are excited to see the groundhogs and begin to wonder why they hibernate during the winter months. To find out, the Kratt brothers decide to spend the night in a groundhog burrow so they can observe the animals up close and personal.

As the Kratt brothers settle into their cozy underground home, they begin to see signs that the groundhogs are getting ready to wake up from their long sleep. They hear noises and feel rumblings in the ground as the groundhogs stir and stretch their legs. Chris and Martin are excited to see the groundhogs up close, but they also want to learn more about why they hibernate.

To do so, the Kratt brothers use their Creature Power Suits to transform into groundhogs and join the animals in their burrow. They observe as the groundhogs wake up, stretch, and begin to groom each other's fur. Martin notices that the groundhogs are eating a lot of food and wonders if this is related to their hibernation.

To find out, the Kratt brothers venture outside the burrow and begin to explore the surrounding area. They discover that the groundhogs are not the only animals waking up from hibernation – there are also bears, snakes, and other animals emerging from their winter slumber. The Kratt brothers realize that there are many different ways animals survive the winter, and they set out to learn more about these fascinating creatures.

As the Kratt brothers explore, they encounter a pack of wolves who are looking for food after a long winter. The wolves are hungry and looking for prey, but the Kratt brothers are able to use their Creature Power Suits to outsmart the animals and escape unharmed.

Back in the burrow, Chris and Martin continue to observe the groundhogs and gather data about their behavior. They learn that the groundhogs eat a lot of food before hibernating so they can store energy for the winter. They also observe that the animals sleep for long periods of time and can go without food or water for months on end.

After spending a few days in the burrow, the Kratt brothers realize that it's time for them to return to their own world. They say goodbye to the groundhogs and return to their Creature Power Suits. As they emerge from the burrow, Chris and Martin reflect on their amazing adventures and the things they learned about hibernation and animal survival.
