In this episode of Wild Kratts, entitled "Mimic", the Kratt brothers venture into the forest in search of a creature that can mimic the calls of other animals. They learn that this "mimic" is actually a type of bird called a lyrebird, and they are fascinated by its ability to imitate the sounds of other animals so precisely.
As they observe the lyrebird in action, the Kratt brothers decide to test their own abilities as mimics. They try to imitate the sounds of various animals, but find it more difficult than they expected. Meanwhile, they notice another creature in the forest - a spectacled cobra - and realize that it is stalking the lyrebird as prey.
The Kratt brothers set out to protect the lyrebird from the cobra, but they soon realize that their efforts are in vain. The cobra is too strong and fast for them to catch, and they are forced to watch as it prepares to strike the lyrebird and kill it.
Just as the cobra is about to attack, the Kratt brothers remember their earlier attempts at mimicry. They decide to use their own voices to mimic the sounds of the cobra, hoping to scare it away. They combine their calls with those of the lyrebird, creating a cacophony of animal sounds that sends the cobra fleeing in terror.
The Kratt brothers are elated by their success in protecting the lyrebird, but they also realize the importance of mimicry in the animal kingdom. They learn that many animals use mimicry to stay safe and protect themselves from predators. They also discover that some animals use mimicry to attract mates, imitating the sounds and behaviors of their potential partners.
As the episode ends, the Kratt brothers reflect on the wonder of nature and the many ways that animals adapt to survive in their environments. They are grateful for the opportunity to witness the power of mimicry firsthand, and are eager to continue exploring the incredible diversity of the animal kingdom.
