Ep 6. Kraken The Code

In the latest episode of Wicked Tuna season 9, titled Kraken The Code, tensions run high as the captains of the fishing boats compete against each other in the open sea. With only a few days left in the fishing season, each crew is vying to catch the biggest bluefin tuna to secure their spot on the leaderboard.

Captain Tyler McLaughlin of the Pinwheel boat is in the lead with 12 fish caught so far, but Captain Dave Carraro of the FV-Tuna.com boat is not far behind with 11 fish. Meanwhile, Captain TJ Ott of the Hot Tuna boat is struggling to keep up with only 5 fish caught.

As the episode begins, the Pinwheel crew is feeling confident but also anxious as they face a difficult day of fishing. The weather is not in their favor, and they are struggling to locate the elusive bluefin tuna. Despite their best efforts, the crew has no luck catching any fish all day.

On the FV-Tuna.com, Captain Dave Carraro and his crew are determined to catch a big fish and make up ground on the Pinwheel crew. They set out early, and after a few hours of fishing, they finally spot a bluefin tuna. The crew springs into action, working together to reel in the massive fish. But just as they are about to bring it on board, disaster strikes. The line snaps, and the fish disappears back into the depths of the ocean. The crew is left disappointed and frustrated, but they must press on.

Meanwhile, on the Hot Tuna, Captain TJ Ott is feeling the pressure to catch more fish and catch up with the other boats. He decides to take a risk and try a new strategy to lure in the bluefin tuna. TJ and his crew set out a massive bait ball, hoping to attract the fish and reel them in. But the gamble doesn't pay off, and they end up wasting valuable time and resources with no fish to show for it.

Back on the Pinwheel, Captain Tyler McLaughlin is feeling the weight of the competition as he tries to maintain his lead. He strategizes with his crew and decides to move to a new fishing spot, hoping for better luck. After a few hours of searching, they finally spot a bluefin tuna and quickly set their lines. The crew works in perfect unison to haul in the massive fish, and their hard work pays off as they catch their biggest fish yet.
